Monologues

As discussed in class this week, a monologue is a one-sided discussion. It is not a rambling speech but a form of art. Here is a very good example of a monologue.

I'm actually confused as to what this was about. I know that someone died in the end. Was it Mr. Suddaby?

sama, no one died, it's just a monologue of a lonely woman with an uninteresting life who mourns the loss of a foot doctor.
the only other person is a brother who lies unresponsive; a yawn is a response, which doesn't do much to alleviate her boredom!
